Betta Botanicals–Alder Cones

Alder Cones are a high-tannin botanical well suited for freshwater aquariums, particularly shrimp tanks and naturalistic botanical setups. Their compact size makes them easy to scatter throughout the substrate or combine with leaves, pods, and other botanicals to create a detailed, natural appearance.

As a high-tannin botanical, Alder Cones can contribute warm amber coloration to the aquarium as tannins are released into the water. Their small, textured structure also makes them an excellent addition to botanical beds designed for shrimp.

Alder Cones can be used individually in smaller aquariums or incorporated alongside other botanical materials in larger displays.
