Consistent water quality, proper filtration, and frequent water changes are beneficial to maintain health and prevent algae growth on its delicate leaves.

Propagation is very simple and is accomplished by taking stem cuttings and replanting them directly into the substrate. These cuttings root quickly, creating new plants and rapidly filling in areas of the aquarium.
