The Mango Pleco, scientifically known as Baryancistrus chrysolomus and also referred to as the Magnum Pleco or L047, is a visually striking freshwater catfish native to the Rio Xingu in Brazil. This species is highly sought after by aquarists due to its vibrant appearance and unique care requirements.

Physically, the Mango Pleco features a dark body adorned with bright yellow or gold spots, complemented by distinctive yellow seams along the edges of its dorsal and caudal fins. In captivity, they can reach up to 11 inches (28 centimeters) in length, necessitating a spacious aquarium environment.
