Welcome to Nu Aqua

This shop is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in the chicagoland area!!There
is a huge variety of fish you can find here that most other places will
not have. Additionally, the staff are super knowledgeable and truly
care about their fish. I felt very comfortable talking to every
employee, and almost felt right at home.Their fish are fully
quarantined before sale. I’ve never seen other shops do that and I think
it’s really admirable. They also have a huge selection of plants, all
of which are super healthy!Not to mention the display tanks they
have in various parts of the rooms have absolutely stunning
aquascaping. Just breathtaking.While most of their orders are
fulfilled online, I think it’s absolutely worth it to come in store and
check out their tanks in person. 10/10 shop right here!

My experience with Nu aqua was amazing. Not only did the fish get to my
door WITHIN A DAY, they had packaged the inside extra safe. I was scared
because the UPS driver had carelessly dropped the package on the corner
and left the box sideways, blantantly ignoring the "LIVE FISH THIS SIDE
UP" (not NU Aquas fault) but Nu Aqua had that covered. Not only did
they have the cardboard box (saying live fish THIS SIDE UP) but they had
an insulated styrofoam container inside that box with packing material
inside and 2 heater packs since it was very cold out. The fish were
active and had no issues. One of the fish I ordered ended up being out
of stock, but they picked up the phone on the first ring and refunded me
right away. Best company I bought fish from and I plan on buying more

from the beginning—quality, beautiful fish! They’re knowledgeable, kind
people with a real passion for this wonderful hobby. I came home with a
Koi Swordtail that’s still healthy and happy to this day—a true
testament to the quality and resilience of their animals.I
finally visited their store recently and was blown away by their
professionalism and attention to detail: clean tanks and lots of healthy
fish to choose from! I truly appreciate how warmly they welcomed and
helped me—it was worth every penny of the Uber ride to get there!It
makes me happy to know that if my fish have babies, they can find a
good temporary place to live and hopefully future permanent homes. Thank
you for taking them in. I’ll definitely be back in the future for more
aquatic companions or additions to my tank.
